There are so many ways you can contribute to the IWDG Stranding Scheme : - Transportation of equipment to Live Stranding Responders.- Headland lookouts to monitor cetaceans at risk of live stranding.- Beach scouts to look for additional cetaceans.- Small boat/RIB owners who could help with live strandings.- Van/trailer owners who can transport small cetaceans - Vets to carry out health assessments of live stranded cetaceans and euthanize animals if necessary. - Live Stranding Responders (training provided by IWDG).- Citizen scientists to collect DNA samples and data from deceased cetaceans.- Quad/digger owners to assist with recovery of carcasses for post mortem examination- Donation of equipment (direct donation, stretchers, dry suits, PPE for responders such as masks, gloves, life jackets etc.)**To get in touch, contact Stephanie at strandings@iwdg.ie**📸 Gerry Murphy - Ballinskelligs Pilot Whales close to shore July 2022. ...
