IWDGβs research vessel Celtic Mist will also be in Bantry harbour. Come along and ππ±π©π₯π¨π«π πππ₯ππ’π ππ’π¬π ππ«π¨π¦ π-ππ©π¦ and learn all about the history of the vessel, as well as the new ways in which Celtic Mist is now surveying our seas. Celtic Mist was donated to the IWDG in 2011, by the family of Irelandβs former Taoiseach, Charles J. Haughey.
Fair Seas are are a coalition of Irelandβs leading environmental non-governmental organisations (eNGOs) and environmental networks, including the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG), who are calling for 30% of Irelandβs ocean territory to be fully protected by 2030. This is our greatest chance at restoring ocean health and we must act now.
