Cara completed a BSc in Marine Biology at The University of Hull in 2019 and is due to start a MSc in Ecological Management and Conservation Biology at Queens University Belfast in September. She has been directly supporting Aman with her IWDG work since October 2020. Cara is an accredited JNCC Marine Mammal Observer and has participated in IWDG ferry Surveys between Belfast and Cairnryan as well as land-based monitoring and boat trips from the North Coast.
Her main goals are to increase public awareness of the cetaceans present in our waters, getting more people involved in IWDG activities particularly land-based monitoring efforts across Northern Ireland
