Csilla Trungel
Coordination and Communication Officer
Originally from Hungary, Csilla now calls the Shannon Estuary home, where she lives with her family alongside Ireland’s only resident population of bottlenose dolphins.
As IWDG’s CoCo, she enjoys bringing people, projects, and ideas together to help support the organisation’s conservation work. Her role combines strategic planning, project coordination, communications and fundraising support, working closely with colleagues to keep initiatives moving forward and ensure the IWDG’s work reaches as many people as possible.
With a background in media management and digital design, Csilla oversees the IWDG’s communications across digital and traditional platforms, develops content, coordinates campaigns, and helps share the stories behind the organisation’s research, conservation, and education work. She also supports funding initiatives and organisational planning, helping to strengthen the IWDG’s impact and long-term goals.
