Australia has rejected a Japanese request to block anti-whaling activists from re-supplying, saying Thursday their ship would be allowed to dock at an Australian port before returning to harass whalers in the Southern Ocean.

Large whale update

We are delighted to report that there is still large whale activity off West Cork as well as the Waterford coast.

A striped dolphin live stranded in Lahinch this morning and was euthanased. It was first reported to the Lahinch Coastguard at 9:30am after being found by locals taking their dog for a walk.
