Bright and early the phone calls started this morning, just before I set off for work in Galway.  A bottlenose dolphin had live-stranded on Hannon’s Strand, Béal, Co. IWDG has made a complaint to the Minister Pat Rabbitte, Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and the European Commission about a proposed 100 day seismic survey in the Corrib gas field, off County Mayo. Seismic pulses can cause harm to whales, dolphins and porpoises. This seismic survey will emit acoustic explosions repeated continuously
