Report VI, 23rd Aug 2011, 15:00 It looks like Waterford Co. Co. will remove the sperm whale today for incineration. IWDG have collectively argued that this is a wasted opportunity, as the specimen, could have made a fantastic educational resource, not to mention the tourism potential that would flow from such a unique local attraction.

IWDG members chartered Mick Sheeran’s “Blasket Princess” for the day on Tuesday 9 Aug in an attemt to track down the now elusive humpback whales in Dingle Bay. Report IV, 02/08/11 Despite a change to less settled Atlantic weather, there is still evidence from land watches, of humpback whale activity in the waters adjacent to Slea Head and the Blaskets, Co. Kerry. On Tues 2nd August Nick Massett observed a whale with a low bushy blow in Dingle Bay. A subsequent report later
