POST EXPO REPORT 9/03/08
This year’s Irish Skipper inshore fisheries EXPO in the Galway Bay Hotel was a great success. Over the 2 day period IWDG met many old friends, members and most importantly, inshore fishermen from around the Irish coast. We estimated that 300-350 visited the IWDG stand and learned about our on-going work and the importance of recording sightings and strandings data. We’ve hopefully won over a few converts to the Marine Conservation cause.
Congratulations to Sharon Boyle and Hugh Bonner and staff of the Irish Skipper for putting together another successful show.

If you’re planning on attending this years Irish Skipper Expo in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill on Friday 7th or Saturday 8th March 10am-5:30pm, why not visit IWDG at Stand No. 54.
IWDG have a policy of attending at least one major expo each year, and they don’t come much bigger than the Irish Skipper’s annual Expo, which is widely regarded as Europe’s only dedicated “inshore exhibition”, and is a must for anyone with an interest in inshore fishing and marine matters.
IWDG personnel will be present on both days to meet industry colleagues and to discuss marine coinservation issues. So if you’re at hte show we’d love to see you.
