IWDG Wild Child Day: Be a Marine Biologist for a Day

In celebration of this year’s National Heritage Week, the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) invites young ocean enthusiasts to experience the life of a marine biologist for a day. This unique event is designed for children aged 8-12 and will take place at the IWDG’s headquarters in the picturesque town of Kilrush, Co. Clare.

The event aligns with this year’s National Heritage Week theme, “Connections, Routes, and Networks,” focusing on the vital connections between Ireland’s marine life and its environment. Participants will embark on an educational adventure, delving into the fascinating world of Ireland’s ocean giants, including whales, dolphins, and other marine creatures.

This hands-on experience is perfect for budding marine biologists who are curious about the underwater world and eager to learn about the connections that sustain life beneath the waves.
