The IWDG recently adopted a new 5 year plan. Since 2000, the IWDG has grown into a credible, effective NGO with a growing membership and increasing influence on government policy and actions. In order to ensure the work of the IWDG is focused and efficient and its limited resources are put to good use the first IWDG five-year development plan (2001-2005) was published in June 2001.
The new plan covers the period 2006 to 2010 and continues to develop the main themes identified in the first plan. After a consultation period, the plan was adopted by the IWDG membership at its AGM in Belcarrig, Co Mayo on 7 May.
