2026 National Climate Demonstration

The National Climate Demonstration 2026 will take place in two weeks time. We encourage all our members and supporters to join the march in Dublin and demand climate action.

The march will take place on Saturday, 14 November 2026, starting at 1pm at the Garden of Remembrance.

August 2026 was the world’s joint hottest month on record. Extreme weather events as a result of climate change are becoming far more common. Should Ireland continue its dependence on fossil fuels, conditions will deteriorate further, not just for us on the surface but for life under the water too.

Warming seas and other effects of climate change are already destabilising marine ecosystems, shifting distributions of prey species that whales and dolphins depend on. Regime shifts (large, persistent changes in the structure and function of social-ecological systems, with substantive impacts on ecosystem services) threaten to throw our seas into ecological chaos.

Last year, thousands of people took to the streets of Dublin to demand climate action and an end to our dependence on fossil fuels. This year’s demonstration will need to be bigger and louder than before.
