The first humpback whale of the season was recorded during a Cork Whale Watch whalewatching trip on the morning of 16th April from Reen Pier, Union Hall. That afternoon, IWDG whale researcher Pádraig Whooley joined Cork Whale Watch and obtained photo-id images of the same whale. This is the first success of the new WhaleTrack Ireland project sponsored by Ryanair customers
