The joy of bow-riding common dolphins on This Island Nation

The IWDG contribute a monthly radio slot on This Island Nation, courtesy of the generosity of Tom McSweeney. This Island Nation is broadcast on digital radio and syndicated all around Ireland. Dr Simon Berrow records a 3 minute piece on the work of the IWDG or an interesting discovery as well as opinion and policies.

This month Simon celebrates the common dolphin – a species widespread and abundant in Irish waters. Common dolphins are widespread and abundant, especially off the southwest coast with estimates of over 100,000 individuals occurring in Ireland during winter.
