The R.V. Celtic Explorer departed Cork City on Saturday 29 January, bound for St. Johns, Newfoundland. Conor Ryan and Alessandro Pierini from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology are carrying out a visual and acoustic survey for cetaceans in collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland. Emily Wilson (MUN) will simunltaneously be surveying seabirds.
