Whale and Dolphin Identification Course

IWDG in collaboration with the National Biodiversity Data Centre are hosting a one day course at the IWDG headquarters in Kilrush, Co Clare.

This workshop will help participants identify and record both whales, dolphins and porpoise sighted or stranded in Ireland and will help attendees develop their field skills. Based in the Shannon Dolphin Centre in Kilrush, Co Clare, which houses an extensive collection of skulls and other body parts, we hope to include a land-based watch at Loop Head as part of the workshop, if weather allows.
