To celebrate Ireland's National Biodiversity Week May 19-28th, the IWDG is hosting a series of talks and guided land-based whale watches. 
This West Cork event is open to anyone with an interest in our marine megafauna. So if you are living in or visiting the Cork area on Saturday 20th May, we are delighted to invite you to attend the following event, where IWDG personnel and local wildlife enthusiasts will be on hand to help you observe, identify and record cetaceans, basking sharks, seabirds and a host of marine wildlife. During the watch, there will be plenty of opportunities to chat with like-minded folk about whales, whale watching and cetacean research and conservation in Ireland. There will be plenty of artefacts on display. As always these outdoor events are weather dependent and you should bring optics and your sense of humour. We look forward to meeting you there.
